An absolutely magnificent fully refurbished Parker Knoll 110/1 chair with matching footstool. This classic egg style chair was originally marketed by Parker Knoll as the Ambassador Chair and was manufactured in the 1970’s, this particular chair on the 5th September 1975 as the stamp on the frame denotes. No longer in production they are now much sought after and highly collectible chairs. Stunning from all angles they swivel and tilt and for optimum comfort we have partnered this one with a 1960s G Plan footstool, upholstered in the same fabric.

The soft retro style fabric is a luxury fleece weave from Cristina Marrone called Umbria, the colourway is Saffron – a rich golden yellow, complimented by a patterned scatter cushion backed in plain Umbria Saffron. It is advisable to request a fabric sample as the colour depiction may vary depending on your device.

This is a superbly comfortable and supportive lounging combination. The chair has been stripped and fully refurbished from the shell upwards. The original teak chair base with swivel and tilt mechanism is fully functional and in excellent condition for its age. The teak G Plan footstool has also been completely stripped and rebuilt in a design which compliments the style of the chair perfectly. Both the chair base and footstool frame have been lightly sanded and protected with Osmo sealant followed by a wax polish to enhance the beauty of the grain. Along with the expected patina of furniture of this age there is a small repair on the leg of the footstool as shown in the close up image. This is purely cosmetic and does not affect the overall beauty or functionality of the piece.

All fabric, foam and filling materials used in the refurbishment comply with UK fire regulations for domestic use.
