Mid Century Ercol 248 Chair in Dark Teal Wool

A gorgeous fully refurbished Ercol 248 chair dating from the 1950’s. These popular and versatile chairs are a compact design making them easily placed anywhere in the home. As these mid century models are no longer produced they are now much sought after and highly collectible. This model with a covered sprung seat base is particularly rare.

Reupholstered in a dark teal pure wool Melton style fabric complete with a woodland animal accent cushion backed in teal wool. It is advisable to request a fabric sample as the colour depiction may vary depending on your device.

A comfortable and supportive chair which has been completely stripped and fully refurbished. The frame is in great condition for its age and has been sanded and protected with Osmo sealant followed by a clear wax. The back rest is made up of rubberised coir fibre covered with soft wadding supported by the original tension springs, the seat pad also rests on original tension springs, all of which are in good order. All fabric, foam and fillings used in the refurbishment are new fire retardant materials. Please note the cushion covers are not removable.
