Ercol 294 Chair in Turquoise Blue Wool Fabric from Camira

An extremely rare and much sought after Mid Century Ercol 294 chair dating from the 1950s. This stylish chair with Ercol’s instantly recognisable sweeping arms makes an ideal lounge, fireside or reading chair being somewhat larger than the similar, well known 248 model.

Beautifully reupholstered in a turquoise blue wool blend fabric from Camira with contrasting scatter cushion in citrus chenille backed in turquoise wool; this chair is perfect to add a burst of colour to any mid century inspired home. It is advisable to request a fabric sample as the colour depiction may vary depending on your device.

The chair has been stripped to the bare frame and fully refurbished with all new fabric, foam and filling materials complying with current UK fire regulations for domestic use. Both the back rest and seat pad are supported by the original tension springs giving a high level of comfort. The frame has been sanded and protected with Osmo sealant followed by a clear wax.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION/CONDITION
The frame has received light restoration and is in good condition for its age. In order to retain the original light beech finish there are some small surface marks visible on the arms. These do not affect the overall beauty or usage of the chair but should be noted (Please see the split screen image).
