Parker Knoll 900/6 Wingback Chair in Pure Wool

A particularly rare mid century Parker Knoll wingback chair (model 900/6). With exceptional mid century modern styling this magnificent chair was manufactured in 1959 and its superb design is as fresh today as it was 65 years ago.

A striking one of a kind statement piece, refurbished and reupholstered in a thick pure wool Melton style fabric in a rich dark teal – dark blue/green shade. The contrasting loose cushion backed in matching wool fabric completes the mid century look perfectly. It is advisable to request a fabric sample as the tone and colour does vary depending on your device.

Both comfortable and supportive, the chair has been completely stripped and fully refurbished. The sprung back rest is all new rubberised coir fibre covered in soft wadding, the new medium density foam seat pad rests on tension springs with a new spring cover. The beech frame is in great condition for its age and has been sanded and protected with a clear coat of Osmo sealant followed by a wax finish. All fabric, foam and fillings used in the refurbishment are new fire retardant materials.
