An outstanding mid century Toothill Wentworth chair dating from the 1960’s. Superbly elegant with a stunning afromosia frame this a fantastic example of classic British mid century modern design. Produced by renowned furniture maker R. W. Toothill and retailed at high end establishments such as Heals of London this is a must have piece for any mid century furniture aficionado.

The luxurious new upholstery is a wool mix from Camira Fabrics in a striking yellow/green shade with a hint of salmon in the weave. Included with the chair is a plump rectangular scatter cushion; the front in Stof Fabric, a Danish textile company founded in 1970, the back in Camira wool. It is advisable to request a fabric sample as the colour depiction may vary depending on your device.

Fully refurbished this is a very comfortable chair with all new luxury foam cushions and new Pirelli rubber webbing to the seat. The frame has been lightly sanded and protected with Osmo sealant followed by a wax polish to enhance the beauty of the grain. It is in good sturdy condition for its age although there are some surface markings in places including to the back of the frame at the top as shown. All fabric, foam and filling materials comply with UK fire regulations for domestic use.
