An extremely rare and much sought after pair of Mid Century Ercol 294 chairs dating from the 1950s. These stylish chairs with Ercol’s instantly recognisable sweeping arms make ideal lounge, fireside or reading chairs being somewhat larger than the similar well known 248 model.

Beautifully reupholstered in a turquoise blue wool blend fabric from Camira with contrasting loose cushions in citrus chenille and turquoise wool; these chairs are perfect to bring a burst of colour to any mid century inspired home. It is advisable to request a fabric sample as the colour depiction may vary depending on your device. The price is for the pair of chairs.

The chairs have been stripped to the bare frame and fully refurbished with all new fabric, foam and filling materials which comply with current UK fire regulations for domestic use. Both the back rest and seat pad are supported by the original tension springs giving a high level of comfort. The frames have been sanded and protected with Osmo sealant followed by a clear wax.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION/CONDITION

The frames are sturdy and have received light restoration. Along with the expected patina of chairs of this age please note the condition of the arms where the supporting spindles are fixed in the arm rests (see split screen image). More information/images available on request.
